Fun Update!
For those of you not on Social Media and didn’t see the event….text Chris at 814-504-9532 to get you on the list!
Join us for a chill night, hanging out with some fur babies from the ANNA Shelter, that would love to see you for a few hours, surrounded by some killer abstract art, listening to live music from the lips and fingers of Zack Orr, Stephen Trohoske and Mike Russo, while sipping on a small glass of Cabarnet.
If any of the above sounds appealing and you have a few free hours on Thursday evening, then punch the date in your smartphone for April 6th from 7-9pm. The gathering coincides with the online art auction currently underway until Friday, April 7th. There is absolutely no pressure to bid on any of the artwork on the auction, but you will be surrounded by it. To quote Ruth, the director of the ANNA shelter, “Whatever the auction makes is more than what we had before”.
The evening gathering’s primary goal is to bring awareness to the ANNA Shelter and other non-profits that help find our fury friends, forever homes.
How and why is this event happening your asking yourself? It’s because of the generosity of a recently passed gentleman who’s wish was to donate all the proceeds from the art auction to the ANNA shelter. He absolutely loved Erie, coming back from California after 46 years, where he ascended the corporate ladder at Fender Guitar and other companies in the L.A. area. He would be thrilled to know that we are hosting this event in his home to raise awareness for a vital non-profit in his beloved hometown… the Gem City!
Also…
We have to live up to the Hiddenworth name, so we will be hiding some rocks placed around Frontier Park and Scott Park with a puppy face starting tomorrow. If you find one, bring it to the event for your prize, including a Griswold skillet, framed Kevin Johns prints of Erie buildings and more… they won’t be your typical door prizes.

-Sale Details
Please join us for this very special fundraising art auction benefiting the incredible A.N.N.A shelter, who provides much needed care and support for the unwanted, stray, abused and neglected animals in our area. For some of you, the art may be familiar, as it was in the home of a recently conducted online auction. You may have seen a few pieces of the art in the background of some of the pictures from the auction. Most of the art was sourced from galleries and exhibits in the Los Angeles area, where the gentleman lived for 46 years. The wishes of the art's owner, who recently passed, is that all the proceeds from the auction go directly to the shelter.
The shelter is currently in need of a proper air ventilation/purification system and with your help, we can help them achieve their fundraising goal to install the system. Not only will you be bidding on a uniquely curated art collection, including art by Pan, Qi-quan( who's works can be found in the collections of private, corporate and educational entities, among them Bill Gates, Eric Clapton, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Sears, The LA Times and NASA), you'll be supporting a fantastic local organization.
Item descriptions and measurements will be found under each item. The auction will be updated as it gets closer to the starting date. Please keep checking back for additional details. Thanks and have fun!
General Housekeeping Notes:
-Auction Hosting Site
The online auction is hosted at estatesales.net where you can get in on the bidding action. If you hadn't already done so, you'll need to sign-up for a simple account on estatesales.net to actively bid. Should you have any technical questions about your account, please call estatesales.net @ (888) 653-8468.
-Bidding Process
The online auction bidding on estatesales.net is a "hard close" process, similar to Ebay, as opposed to a "soft close" process used by other online auction platforms, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform.
The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires, which is displayed under each item. Also, entering a maximum "max" bid doesn't necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed "max" bid for convenience purposes.
-Bidding Example
You are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. Your maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, essentially creating a level playing field.
-Item Descriptions
General descriptions of items are available under each item (measurements, basic description, model number if available, etc.). If you have additional questions about any of the items in the auction, please text Chris at 814-504-9532. Texting is preferred. Also, please take advantage of the preview times, as this is your chance to physically inspect the items.
